TV 3

On the 13th of November we were asked to a live TV interview on the subject of abortion and its physical and emotional effects on women, for a local television channel. We were given one day's notice and, although we did not have very much time to prepare, we were excited about the opportunity to speak about abortion related issues live on Mongolian television!

Our slot was for 40 minutes. They asked us if we wanted to take phone calls and we eagerly agreed. About 10 minutes into the program, a man called.

He shared about how a few short months ago he and his wife were told to have an abortion. His wife was sick and the doctors had given up on her and told her she'd better have an abortion or they would not deliver her baby in Darkhan. They had heard of Melanie and how she helps pregnant women so they called her and set up an appointment.

After their meeting with Melanie they decided to protect their baby and give it a fighting chance. They went to UB, to a private hospital and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Today, both mom and baby are in perfect health! The caller then went on to encourage the public to "listen to these people, they're good people!"

After we finished the discussion on abortion and fetal development, I was able to address the youth about staying pure and sexually abstinent before marriage. We promoted our abstinence course that we are currently teaching and have taught for the past 3 years in the local high schools and universities. We gave out our contact information and are looking forward to the doors that will be opened.

The staff and crew of the Television station along with the manager and his wife were all very happy to have us. They invited us back, and basically said that we can do whatever we want, whenever we want and that they'll give us a good price. =)

Thank you,to those of you who pray for us, for open doors to influence the Mongolian society. We pray that God continue to use us and that we can be always willing servants and walk through the doors as He leads.
